Oooo I love those fire tails 🥰
How did u got it
@@peoplesarena039 10 hours of light each day and never scrape it
free snails
Very odd comment, since the Clown loaches in this tank guarantee ZERO snails live in this planted aquarium. 😂😅😂
956,507 😅
Let me get back to you,............ Counting...............
Good help
Glad to hear that :)
They are not pirates the cockatoos
many would disagree :)
Which one is female?
the smaller fish with the brighter colors :)
Hi from taree nsw 😊
Hello from Melbourne :)
I like a tank with a lot of moss in it like this. Beautiful 😊
the more the more spectacular :)
Nice
no beh behs?
no babies :)
I also have a Red Tail Shark, their pretty cool fish
very cool :)
I have been building out a sorority tank with the "baby girls" from the pet store and definitely think I ended up with a few males. But they have never fought, are super chill so I thought no way they could be males. But I think them growing up together is a big factor. But I also have a big tank, lots of plants.
Big tank, lots of plants = super chill happy fish :)
💖🫧
How big are your ones they look enormous 😂😂
They do get to a good size up to 4 - 5 "
@@AussieAquatic yeah but like how big are yours
@@AussieAquatic and they can get to 6+ inches which is decent size tbh
I'm assembling a 75gal tank and I am putting a redtail in there. Up until recently I wasn't even aware they ate algae enough to be considered a tank cleaner. Do you have anything else like a pleco or otos? I was planning to include a school of 5-6 otos but I might wanna drop that idea now that I'm aware of the redtail diet more
Kribensis and their red bellies 🙂
The most hardy and peaceful Corydoras ❤️❤️
Isnt that natural though when moving? After they melt they grow back
Yes it is for most plants, but crypts can take it to the extreme very quickly, which scares many people at first, when all the leaves melt away to nothing. Not always, but often. Then weeks later new leaves start to show again.
TDS level?
Yes
I don't test TDS, but the GH and KH of my city water is near zero, so I mineralise it up for my live plants, still very low however.
Your tank is small…fish have no room 2 swim in my opinion
Both of my tanks are larger than a vertical smartphone camera 😊
I read this book that I borrowed from the library in the late 80's. At that time I was interested in aquatic plants but does not know their requirements and how to set up a planted tank. This book provide a start point for me. At that time, the only fertilizer I can fine in LFS was Tetra liquid fertilizer. Years later I started my first planted tank using the Dupla system when Dupla products become available in my country. That was before Amano concept of Nature Aquarium appear in the scene. The Dupla system works perfectly. But I need to use a chiller in my aquarium in order to achieve the substrate heat flow concept. Chiller was highly recommended by my hobbyist club members as plant grow beautifully at 25-26 degree C. Btw, I live in the tropics.
Is it possible to get my male betta fish to stop getting so aggressive around her?
The answer is only when she has enough space to disappear, like in a large tank like a 40 gal with floating plants, or take her out if the tank is too small. The male is no doubt wanting to mate, but if she is not full of eggs and ready, then she will only be harassed, unless she can swim away and disappear.
@@AussieAquatic the thing is he doesn't really even attack her he just flaps his Finn's and puffs out his gills and I don't want to take the chance on him hurting her, I have a 5 gallon tank so im probably gonna take one out than
That's breeding behaviour where he is showing her how big and powerful he is, so she will mate with him, if she has eggs and is ready, she will, but then she needs to be moved out. 5 gals is too small for them to live together.
Very pretty
Yes 😁
What is that anyway
a frozen mussel
You might have a bronze army mate they’re trying to breed by the looks of them 😂
wouldn't that be fun :)
Hey please tell me how to identify gender in ram rosy fish
Only when they are old enough and big enough, the males should develop longer edges to their front dorsal fin and strong colours, and females should be a little shorter in the body, thicker, pink colour around the tummy and shiny blue dots inside the dark spot on the sides.
Name of the fish plz
these are called bronze Corydoras catfish, very cute and peaceful tropical fish :)
they are Lucky and Lucy
they are Lucky and Lucy
@@MorningDriftwood Gold star!!.....Top of the class :)
How did u find females ive had trouble finding female endlers and even more trouble with cobra female endlers im thinking of getting yellow cobra guppy females as a replacement and culling the bigest ones so that if they get bigger form the guppy gene it wont pass on whats your thought
I know I had female guppies mixed in with my endlers by the hybrid colours appearing in some of my young males, so it's always going to be hard when buying from shop bought fish. Breeders can keep pure bloodlines by culling and select breeding. I'm OK with having a colony of hybrids, so it just depends what you want to do. The cobra endler and cobra guppy will work fine I think.
Are these suitable and effective for epiphytes?
Excellent question. 90% of these plants are all epiphytes and grow like crazy, but I am also using regular liquid dosing of trace elements.
@@AussieAquatic thanks!!
I miss my clown loaches 😢 yours are beautiful
Amazing 🎉
small tank bad, bigger tanks good :)
You could most definitely have shrimp in that tank from the looks of it
yes, I had a thriving colony of red cherry shrimp in this tank for about 6 years.
:) ty for info
@@AussieAquaticcool must be very happy shrimps
It will be a problem if he breeds in that tank the male will find difficulty in finding female
Here is what happened next ruclips.net/video/hgL7RDQBYW0/видео.html
One word-NICE 👌
Thx mate
How to make plant growth
Plenty of light 10 - 12 hours and do use plant fertilizer
Kribensis?
Yes they are :)
Where can I get keibensis from?
They are usually quite common in the pet and aquarium stores, ask in store
Can you show us the roots please
I've moved the plant back into a pot outdoors, but they develop strong roots, aquariums have excellent fertilized water for plants
What plants are helpful for bubble nests?
any floating plant that you can get hold of will do, and if they have long hanging roots even better, watersprite, indian fern, red root floaters, frogbit, azolla, salvinia are all excellent. A small piece of floating polystyrene also works :)
Thanks! :)
I'm a huge cory fan, and at one point I had 8 different species of corys in my 55g, and 18 pygmy corys in my 15g. I'm in the planning stages of a 250usg community tank and I've decided to go with just one species of corys. I'm heavily leaning towards Fairy corys. I had 2 in that 55g and I liked them even better than my gold lasers or orange Venezuelans. However the duplicate corys are contenders. I'm thinking around 30 corys in a tank that size, but would appreciate your opinion on how many. It will be fully planted with lots of wood and stones ranging from very large to small. As for filtration I'm leaning towards a fx-4. I think a fx-6 would just be too powerful since I'm going to be keeping fish that are on the smaller if not nano size. However I'm one to over filter. I ran 2 seachem tidal 110s on my 55g. I'm guessing I could baffle the output on the fx-6
No doubt those very lucky fish will breed in the tank, so remember the initial number of fish will naturally go higher, also since the bioload and waste is on the smaller side, I think the FX 4 is ample filtration :)
@AussieAquatic good point. They'll certainly not have the bioload of say an African cichlids tank. In fact the fx-6 may have too strong of a flow for what I'm planning. Thank you for your input
One of the most beautiful freshwater or saltwater fish, imo
Couldn't agree more!
Very pretty little flowers they are
and long lasting :)
